Scientists from Tomsk State University (TSU) in Russia have developed a technology to clean a palm oil waste-polluted reservoir in Indonesia using industrial microorganisms. The technology, which relies on the flotation principle and decomposer microorganisms, effectively breaks down organic matter. The partnership between TSU and Indonesian institutions aims to address environmental issues, including those in shrimp farms, and introduce a closed water supply system with a cleaning system. Over 80 Indonesian students are pursuing education in Russia, with plans for expanded cooperation in education and the establishment of an environmental research center.
