In February 2021, exports from Chile's Los Lagos Region declined by 0.8% year-on-year to USD 419.6 million, primarily due to a 1.3% drop in the Industry sector, with Food exports falling by 1.7%. Salmon-related products, which accounted for 80.6% of total exports and 87.7% of food sales, saw a slight decrease of 1.7% to USD 338.4 million. The United States, Japan, and Brazil were the top destinations for these products. Additionally, exports to the Apec economic bloc saw a 4.8% increase, reaching USD 345.4 million, driven by increased shipments to Japan and Vietnam.
