The Narit Village Women Farmers Group in Pa 'Pawan Village and the Circumstances of Pa' Pala Village Women in Long Umung, Nunukan Regency, have transformed their homesteads into food production sites, growing various leafy vegetables, chilies, cucumber, and pariah. This initiative is part of the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) program, aimed at increasing food availability, accessibility, and use for household needs, and to increase family income. The program also seeks to empower community groups to cultivate diverse plants and supports government programs for handling priority areas for stunting interventions and food insecurity. The production is being assisted by PPL, with no chemical fertilizers used due to the area's organic-based nature. The vegetables are consumed and sold, with the proceeds used for group needs.
