The article reports on the successful winter crop season in Vietnam in 2020, despite facing challenges from storms. The total production area was 375,000 hectares, resulting in over 4.56 million tons of crop and a value of 32,628 billion VND. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development plans to expand the winter crop area to 400,000 hectares in 2021, focusing on high-economic value crops and aiming for a production value of 34,000-35,000 billion VND. However, the 2021 winter crop faces challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in product circulation and consumption. The article highlights the significant economic benefits of winter crop production and the need for continued support and cooperation to overcome these challenges.
