The majority of the exports were trout fillets, accounting for 90.6% of the total. Japan was the leading market, followed by the US, Canada, Ukraine, and Malaysia. In 2020, the global trout market saw a decrease of 2.6% with Chile being the largest supplier. The average price of Peruvian trout fillets in 2020 was US $ 7.16 per kilo, with the highest price recorded in Japan and the lowest in the same market.
