According to Rosstat data, over the ten months of this year, the dairy processing enterprises of the Tula region produced 12.8 thousand tons of kefir—this is 50.3% more than a year earlier. In addition, the region saw an increase in the production of milk (excluding raw milk) by 24.8%, to 59.0 thousand tons, cottage cheese by 7.9%, to 12.4 thousand tons, sour cream by 5.9%, to 4.7 thousand tons, and butter by 3.8%, to 1.8 thousand tons. Also, the region produced 17.5 thousand tons of cheese. Confectionery enterprises produced 12.6 thousand tons of chocolate and sugar confectionery, which is 17.9% more than in January–October 2024. The production of cookies, gingerbread, wafers, cakes, and long-life pastries was recorded at 28.3 thousand tons.
