The Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association President, Birol Celep, announced significant growth in Turkey's dried fruit exports in 2021, reaching $1.574 billion with dried figs, dried apricots, and raisins contributing the most. The exports were made to 162 countries, with Europe being the primary trade partner. The target for 2022 is to achieve $1.8 billion in dried fruit exports, with raisin exports aiming for $500 million and dried apricot exports for $450 million. Other exports including pistachios, other dried fruits, roasted fruits, almonds, pine nuts, walnuts, apricot kernels, and roasted chickpeas also saw substantial growth.
