Turkey is planning to expand the market for its salmon exports by promoting the product at a upcoming fair in Spain. In the first quarter of this year, salmon exports increased by 19% in value compared to the same period in 2021, reaching 20 countries and earning $25.52 million. However, exports to the largest market, Russia, decreased by 48% in quantity and 29% in value. The Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association (DKİB) is optimistic and will promote the unique features of Turkish salmon at the Seafood Expo Global fair in Barcelona.
