Two new African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreaks detected in Poland

Based on the results of laboratory tests obtained from the PIWet - PIB Puławy, the Chief Veterinary Officer informs about the finding of 111-112 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in pigs in 2021. ASF outbreak no. 2021/111 (primary outbreak) was designated on October 13, 2021 on a farm where 92 pigs (4 sows, 26 piglets, 11 weaners, 51 fattening pigs) were kept, located in the town of Nowy Dwór Bratiański, in the Nowe Miasto Lubawskie commune , Nowomiejski poviat, Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship, i.e. in the area covered by restrictions III listed in the annex to the Commission Implementing Regulation (CIR) 2021/605.
