Ukraine's 2024 grain harvest at 49.9 million tons so far, ministry says

Ukraine had harvested 49.9 million metric tons of grain as of Nov. 8, the agriculture ministry said on Friday. The volume included 22.3 million tons of wheat, 5.6 million tons of barley, 470,400 tons of peas and 20.2 million tons of corn. Farmers harvested 9.7 million tons of sunflower, 3.5 million tons of rapeseed and 5.8 million tons of soybeans. The ministry has forecast the 2024 corn harvest at about 25 million tons and the wheat crop at about 22 million tons.
