Ukraine has completed the 2025 sugar production season, with factories producing 1.72 million tons of sugar.

The sugar beet processing season in Ukraine officially concluded on February 1, 2026, with the total sugar production in the country amounting to 1.72 million tons, reported the National Association of Sugar Producers "Ukrtsukor." According to data from the specialized association, the 26 factories that are part of the association produced 1.64 million tons of products. Including one more enterprise operating outside the association, the total figure reached 1.72 million tons. Despite a significant reduction in the area under sugar beet cultivation — by 50 thousand hectares, or 23% compared to the previous year — sugar production volumes decreased by only 4%, or 80 thousand tons. The head of the "Ukrtsukor" association, Yana Kavushevska, explained this dynamic by historically record-breaking yields and quality of raw materials.
