Ukraine has imposed a duty on potato starch from Belarus

The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ITC) has decided to introduce a special duty on imports of potato starch from Belarus for a period of five years. The relevant decisions were made at a meeting of the Commission chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine informs. It is reported that the duty rate for producers and exporters from the Republic of Belarus is 23.8%. Also, the duty on imports of plywood and particle board from the Republic of Belarus - 25.71-41.35% depending on the manufacturer. At the same time, the ICMT decided to extend for 5 years the anti-dumping measures on imports into Ukraine of wood-fiber boards (fiberboards) of the wet production method, solid originating in the Russian Federation.
