In 2021, Ukrainian fruit importers saw a 11% increase in kiwi imports compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 16,400 tons in the first 11 months. This has led to the average kiwi consumption in Ukraine surpassing 400 grams per capita per year for the first time. Greece, which had previously been the leading kiwi supplier to Ukraine, has been overtaken by Iran, which increased its exports by 67% to become the main supplier to Ukraine, accounting for 40% of kiwi imports.
