In April, the market for salmon and trout saw significant growth with Poland, Denmark, and the US as the largest markets. Poland experienced the highest increase in salmon prices, with a 26% rise year-over-year, leading to a record high of NOK 121 per kg. Exports to Poland totaled 10,875 tons, a 13% increase from the previous year. The US and Ukraine saw the most significant growth in trout imports, with increases of 51% and 376% in value from the same month last year, respectively. Overall, Norway's export of fresh and frozen salmon and trout reached record highs in both value and volume.
