In July 2024, Ukraine experienced a notable surge in cattle and beef exports, driven by increased demand during the barbecue season. Live weight cattle exports rose by 25%, and frozen beef exports increased by 48% compared to June, generating $3.18 million and $6.92 million in revenue, respectively. Key export destinations included Lebanon for live cattle and Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan for frozen beef. Despite these gains, overall exports from January to July 2024 were lower than the previous year. Additionally, Ukraine saw a rise in cattle and beef imports in July and faced significant challenges due to port raids, which threatened potential export blockages.
