Ukraine has significantly increased beef exports last month, driven by production cuts in several countries and rising global prices. The Milk Producers Association (MPA) reports this, citing data from the State Statistics Service. "Demand for red meat traditionally increases with the start of the barbecue season after May holidays," explains MPA analyst Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili. In May, Ukrainian exporters delivered 21 tons of fresh or chilled beef to foreign markets. This is more than tenfold (or 980%) higher than the previous month's figure. The export revenue amounted to $137,000, which is almost six times (493%) more compared to April. However, compared to the same period last year, sales abroad have decreased. Exports of fresh or chilled beef decreased by 91% relative to May 2024, and export revenue fell by 91%.
