Ukraine is increasing the supply of meal to the EU

This indicator turned out to be only 1% more than the volume of imports of the previous season, reports "APK-Inform" with reference to the updated data of the European Commission. At the same time, the structure of imports recorded an increase of 18% compared to the previous season in the volume of imports of sunflower meal and a decrease of imports of soybean and rapeseed meal by 2% and 3%, respectively. There is also an increase in the volume of imports of meal from Ukraine and an increase in its share as the main supplier of these products. In particular, according to the results of the 2023/24 MR, according to the data of the European Commission, Ukraine provided 11% of all import batches of the main types of meal, delivering 2.1 million tons of these products to the EU countries. In 2021/22 MR, this indicator was only 5% (1.1 million tons).
