On April 9, within the framework of the President of Ukraine's initiative Food from Ukraine, Ukraine opened a food processing and distribution center in the Republic of Ghana – the first agro-hub on the African continent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine. The opening of the agro-hub by Ukrainian agricultural businesses is the result of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Ghana during the Food from Ukraine conference on November 19, 2025. The center is intended to enhance food security in West Africa and simultaneously demonstrate how humanitarian support can become the basis for long-term partnership, development of local processing, and new economic opportunities.
