Ukraine has successfully planted crops on 11.84 million hectares of land, achieving 82.2% of its target for the current season. The sowing has been efficient, with 1.94 million hectares sown in the last week alone. The main crops, such as sunflower, corn, spring barley, spring wheat, oats, and peas, are nearing their target areas. However, the planting of soybeans, millet, and buckwheat remains behind schedule. The reduction in high-margin crop acreage, like sunflower and corn, is due to ongoing hostilities, while the cultivation of less profitable but food secure crops, such as peas, barley, and oats, has seen an increase. Overall, Ukraine aims to cultivate approximately 14.2 million hectares of agricultural land this season, which is 80% of the previous year's figure.
