A recent analysis by the Association of Milk Producers in Ukraine predicts a negative foreign trade balance for the country by the end of the year, despite a slight slowdown in import growth in January. The growth in imported supplies of condensed milk and cream, as well as sour-milk products, is expected to continue, along with an increase in cheese imports. However, exports of dairy products have decreased, with the largest losses seen in condensed milk and cream, butter, fermented milk products, and casein. Despite the overall decline in exports, powdered and condensed milk, whey, and cheeses have shown good increases, with ice cream exports experiencing the highest growth rate. The future of oil exports looks promising due to competitive prices, but domestic oil shortages may limit increases in exports.
