Ukrainian agricultural producers have reduced sugar beet areas by 15%

In 2025, sugar beet sown areas in Ukraine decreased by 15.4% compared to the previous year, from 259,000 hectares to 220,000 hectares, as reported by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky at the Trend&Hedge Club meeting. He noted that Ukrainian processors were very disappointed with the sugar export quotas to the EU initially set in spring 2025 at 67,000 tons for the year.
