Ukrainian agricultural expert Ivan Tomych has criticized the country's agrarian policy, stating that it has led to the control of 70% of the best chernozems in the world by global companies, concentrating land ownership to a dangerous extent. He argues that this situation is leading to the emptying of villages, unemployment, and the loss of Ukraine's last significant state resource. Despite simplified access to state land leasing for farmers through electronic auctions, Tomych insists that without a strategic approach, these measures are ineffective.
