Unesco registers historical documents confirming the Peruvian origin of pisco

The Regional Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme will officially register manuscripts from 1587 to 1613 that discuss the origin of pisco in its regional registry. The documents were found this year by the National General Archives. The recognition is based on historical manuscripts dating from 1587 to 1613, which document the production and marketing of grape brandy in Peru.
