The citrus sector in Malaga is facing unprecedented prices, which have caused ruin for producers. Farmers are receiving only 0.20 cents per kilo while production costs are 0.35 cents, leading to a sharp loss of profitability. The sector is demanding greater involvement from administrations to solve the price crisis at the origin of the citrus sector and other crops, as well as intervention to control the entry of productions from third countries and ensure compliance with the Chain Law.
