The Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food (MAPA) has reported the current situation as of July 21 regarding contagious nodular dermatosis (CNS) in France and Italy. Thus, since the last communication issued by MAPA, the official veterinary services (OVS) of France have reported six more outbreaks of contagious nodular dermatosis (CNS), two of them in the department of Savoy and four outbreaks in the neighboring department of Upper Savoy, bringing the total to 27 outbreaks reported so far in France. All outbreaks have been detected in a very close area within the adopted restriction zone, but due to the increase in reported cases in the department of Upper Savoy, towards the eastern zone, it has been decided to expand the restriction zone. Regarding Italy, the situation remains stable since the last communication, with a total of 26 outbreaks on the island of Sardinia and 1 outbreak in the Lombardy region.
