The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is working in collaboration with AIAT Papua to safeguard the border between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea from the threat of animal and plant pests. This is being done through the Jayapura Class 1 Agricultural Quarantine Center, which is located at the Skouw State Cross-Border Post. The aim is to increase the economic growth of the community and state by providing excellent inspection services for food commodities exported to Papua New Guinea. The quarantine center is equipped with facilities for car washing, laboratory, and fumigation. The Ministry is also focusing on increasing Papuan agricultural production and exports.
