Uruguay's exports of boneless and bone-in frozen beef to China remained steady in September compared to August, with around 11,507 tons of boneless frozen meat and 5,610 tons of bone-in frozen meat imported. The United States was ranked second in terms of frozen meat imports, followed by Canada and Israel. Overall, Uruguay exported 29,263 tons of meat in September, with a significant decrease in chilled meat and an increase in frozen meat compared to the previous month. In 2023, Uruguay exported 248,000 tons of fresh beef, with decreases in values and volume compared to the previous year.
