Uruguay: Beef exports to China revalued 4.3% in September

Exports of fresh boneless and boneless beef to China increased by 4.3% during the month of September compared to August. Shipments of the frozen product to the Asian giant recorded an average monthly value of $4,440 per ton. In September, China imported from Uruguay about 11,507 tons of boneless frozen meat, and 5,610 tons of bone-in frozen meat, meaning a level similar to that acquired in the month of August, according to export request data reported by the National Directorate of Customs. The United States ranked second among the main frozen meat destinations with 4,324 tons of deboned product, while Canada took the podium with 1,020 tons. For its part, in fourth place behind the North American nation was Israel, with an import of 841 tons of Uruguayan deboned frozen meat, in a context where there was a lower proportion of shipments of chilled meat.
