Uruguayan exports reached US$ 1.169 million in May 2025, with a year-on-year growth of 1%, driven by beef, pulp, soybeans, and rice. These four products represented a significant portion of the exported value and had China, the United States, and the European Union as their main destinations, according to a survey recorded by Valor Agrícola, complemented by the monthly report from Uruguay XXI. Beef consolidated itself as the main exported product of the month, with sales of US$ 256 million, 35% more than in May 2024. The United States led demand with purchases of US$ 83 million (11,000 tons), followed by the European Union (US$ 75 million) and China (US$ 62 million). Sales to the United Kingdom, Brazil, Switzerland, Canada, and Israel were also notable. Pulp occupied second place with sales of US$ 203 million, a 24% year-on-year increase.
