In 2021, Brazilian beef exports experienced a 9% revenue growth, reaching US$9.236 billion, despite a 7% decrease in volume to 1,867,594 tons. China continues to be the largest buyer, but there was a reduction in imports. Other countries like Chile, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates increased their imports, while Saudi Arabia saw a slight decrease. Overall, 104 countries increased their beef imports from Brazil, while 68 reduced their purchases.
