U.S. dairy exports, including products and ingredients, have reached record levels in June, with a 6% increase in volume and a 15% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The growth is primarily driven by dairy ingredients, with Mexico, Southeast Asia, and China being the leading regions. However, cheese exports have seen a decline. The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) has updated the estimated Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) program-assisted sales totals, showing significant amounts of American-type cheeses, butter, milkfat, whole milk powder, and cream cheese have been sold. The US Dairy Export Council (USDEC) expects strong overall growth in milk powder sales for the rest of the year, despite port congestion and slow demand for whey in China. Additionally, the export of dairy heifers is experiencing challenges but shows interest from various countries.
