U.S. pork exports in 2022

In December, pork exports reached 244,718 tonnes swt, 13% more than the same period last year and the second highest in 2022 (slightly below November). The value of exports in December increased by 14% to US$687.3 million. These results raised annual exports to 2.67 million tons, 8.5% less than a year ago, while the value of exports was the third highest ever, with 7.68 billion dollars, less 5% of the 2021 record. Pork exports to Mexico reached another record volume in December, with 90,175 units, an increase of 13%.
