The global soybean market continues at an intense pace at the end of June, with emphasis on the numbers released this Thursday (26) by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). According to the agency, US net sales of the oilseed for the 2024/25 crop totaled 402,900 tons in the week ended June 19. The volume represents a 16% drop compared to the previous week, but is still 83% higher than the average of the four previous weeks. Among the main destinations for sales are the Netherlands (63,400 t), Mexico (60,600 t), Egypt (60,000 t), Germany (58,300 t), and Bangladesh. Part of these negotiations involved transfers of contracts originally classified as "unknown destination", a common strategy in the market to accelerate future shipments. Despite the weekly decline, the data indicates a gradual recovery of international demand for American soybeans, although the commercial focus remains more directed towards South America, especially Brazil.
