From January to October 2021, Peru's panettone exports reached 85.7%, totaling US $ 4 million 652 thousand, with the United States and Chile being the primary markets. There was an 11.1% increase from 2020 and a 16.7% increase from 2019. The exports were made mainly by sea and included varieties such as raisins, candied fruits, chocolate chips, blueberries, and whole grains. The Lima region was the main shipping point, with other regions like Callao, Tacna, and La Libertad also contributing. The exports were resumed to Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Saint Lucia, Switzerland, Cuba, and Singapore, but were stopped for Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras. The exports were predominantly handled by companies such as Compañía Nacional de Chocolates del Perú S.A., Nestle Perú S.A., and Gloria S.A.
