By Aline Bronzati, correspondent New York, 11/12/2025 - The United States Department of State confirmed the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, and the American Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, on Thursday, 13. The meeting will take place in Washington, at 7 p.m. (Brasília time). The appointment is on the Secretary's agenda, published on the evening of this Wednesday. The agenda of the meeting was not disclosed. It is expected that the meeting will be a continuation of the meeting that Vieira and Rubio had this Wednesday, on the sidelines of the G7 meeting, in Canada. The taxation on Brazilian products was one of the topics of the meeting. Brazil was taxed at 50% by the U.S. and the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has been trying to reverse the tariff.
