USAID stops funding projects in Ukraine

The Ukrainian office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has received an order to suspend all projects in Ukraine and their funding. This is reported by Suspilne, citing an employee of the USAID office in Kyiv. The list includes not only anti-corruption programs, but also educational and energy programs. Project funding was suspended after the US State Department ordered the suspension of aid programs to other countries for 90 days for an audit. The employees do not currently have detailed instructions on how they plan to implement the directive and whether there will be exceptions. The USAID press service reported that they have forwarded the request to the US State Department.
