USDA: In-season US soybean shipments are 24% lower than a year ago

This Monday (29), the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) brought its updated weekly shipment numbers with soybeans and corn within expectations and wheat below expectations. In the week ending January 25, the US shipped 889,717 thousand tons of the oilseed, while traders' projections ranged from 500 thousand to 1.3 million tons. In every commercial year, American shipments already totaled 27,666,073 million tons, 24% lower than that recorded a year ago, in the same period. Regarding corn, the country's corn shipments were, last week, 901,958 thousand tons, in line with the range of market expectations of 700 thousand to 1.1 million tons.
