The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its December report reduced the forecasts for the export of Ukrainian grains in the 2025/26 marketing year, reports "ProAgro Group." In particular, the expected export of wheat was reduced from 15 million tons to 14.5 million tons. Production remains at 23 million tons, but domestic consumption is projected to be higher – 7.6 million tons against the previous 7.1 million tons. The forecast for corn exports from Ukraine has been reduced from 24.5 million tons to 23 million tons. Production has decreased from 32 million tons to 29 million tons due to smaller sowing areas and adverse weather conditions. Domestic consumption is expected at 6 million tons, and transitional residues are only 0.85 million tons. Estimates of exports of other grains have also been reduced from 3.09 million tons to 2.5 million tons with unchanged production – 6.58 million tons.
