The article highlights a collaborative effort between the U.S. Grains Council, U.S. Dairy Export Council, the Indonesian Milk Cooperative Association, and PT Indolakto to improve the Indonesian dairy industry through a seminar in East Java. The event, focused on optimizing dairy cattle feed nutrition, aimed to tackle the industry's challenges, including high feed costs and low milk production compared to demand. The seminar emphasized the benefits of U.S. distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as a cost-effective and nutritious feed source, providing a better value for dairy cows with its lower fat and higher protein content. The event also addressed other nutrition and business management challenges faced by dairy farmers, attracting 135 participants and addressing concerns related to the high price of animal feed.
