Uzbekistan: Peaches and nectarines have risen in price by a third in a week

Prices for peach and nectarine in Uzbekistan continue to rise, and over the past week, these products have risen in price by a third, EastFruit experts note. According to EastFruit price monitoring, from August 25 to September 1, 2023, the average wholesale price for peach and nectarine in Uzbekistan increased from 12,000 to 16,000 soum/kg (from $1.0 to $1.32). Considering that wholesale prices for these products have been rising since the beginning of August, over the past month, peach and nectarine prices in Uzbekistan have risen exactly twofold. As a result of multidirectional dynamics of wholesale prices for these products compared to the same period last year, during August the gap between last year’s levels increased every week.
