Venezuela has agreed to provide Iran with 1 million hectares of agricultural land for food security projects, as part of a 20-year cooperation plan. The projects will focus on cultivating soybeans and corn. However, the cost-effectiveness of these investments is being questioned due to the long distance between the countries and high transportation costs. The implementation of these agricultural projects abroad will help Iran preserve its water resources. Iran faces a need for 7 million hectares of agricultural land abroad to ensure food security.
