Bahia has taken the lead and starting this month, at the Salvador International Airport, the supply of commercial aviation with SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) will begin, the result of an action led by the State government and Vibra. According to the company, the first to import SAF on a commercial scale in the country, the biofuel will be used in two daily flights starting in November, one from Gol and another from Latam. At the Salvador Airport, a mixture composed of 10% pure SAF and 90% fossil fuel will be used, which will allow passengers to board flights with fewer CO2 emissions. "This is the largest blend with pure SAF ever used in Brazilian aviation refueling.
