Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo have initiated the export of 25 plantation commodities and spices from North Sumatra to 34 countries, valued at Rp 207.93 billion. They urged for the development of the productivity, production, processing industry, and competitiveness of these commodities. The Minister is optimistic that production, competitiveness, and exports can be increased, as the agricultural sector was the only one to show positive growth during the pandemic. The goal is to boost exports and increase Indonesia's global ranking as a spice producer.
