Currently, all ASC-certified basa fish in the world are produced in Vietnam.
As of 2024, Vietnam has 58 ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) certified basa fish farms, with a production capacity of 210,144 tons, and products exported to 61 countries and regions.
These products are mainly exported to high-demand European markets with strict environmental, social, and food safety standards, such as the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
