The Vietnam Food Safety Authority has released a draft technical regulation, QCVN 8-1:2025/BYT, aimed at strengthening public health protection and aligning Vietnam's food safety regulations with international standards. The regulation focuses on mycotoxin limit standards in food and is open for public feedback until February 25, 2025. Upon implementation, it will replace the QCVN 8-1:2011/BYT regulations. The draft introduces new contaminant limit indicators, lowers index requirements for certain products, and refines product categories, which will significantly affect food export companies.
