The Vietnam - China (Guangdong) 2021 online trade conference highlighted the growing popularity of Vietnamese agricultural products and foodstuffs in the Chinese market, especially in Guangdong province. Despite the COVID-19 impact, Vietnam's import-export turnover to China reached 28.8 billion USD in the first 7 months of 2021, showing a 24.6% increase from the previous year. The demand for these products is high, with potential for growth, but businesses need to understand the Chinese market and quality standards to succeed. The Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou emphasized the huge potential of Guangdong, given its large population and GDP, and noted the need for Vietnamese businesses to invest in trade promotion and leverage e-commerce for agricultural exports.
