Vietnam Plus reports that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam has launched an initiative to distribute 50,000 tonnes of rice to needy countries. This action is in response to the World Food Programme's emergency appeal for food assistance. The ministry will prioritize countries with the most severe food crises, including Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan. The rice will be transported via sea and land routes, with the distribution expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
