Vietnam's cashew nut exports in 2021 reached 577,400 tons, valued at $3.63 billion, marking year-over-year increases of 12% and 13%, respectively. The United States, Europe, China, and India were the primary markets. However, the industry faces growing competition, especially from Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria. In the Chinese market, Vietnamese cashews experienced significant growth, with imports hitting $133 million, up 27.9%, and reaching a market share of 96.3%. Chinese companies are also exploring cashew sources in other countries, such as Tanzania.
