Vietnam has started exporting its first shipment of frozen sapodilla to the Australian market, marking a significant milestone in trade relations between the two countries. This event was highlighted at a trade promotion organized by the Vietnam Consulate General in New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia, and the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia at Paddington Market in Sydney. The trade value between Vietnam and Australia exceeded $12.4 billion in 2021, with a notable 30% increase in Vietnamese farm produce exports in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the previous year. Both countries are optimistic about the potential of introducing more processed and frozen farm produce from Vietnam to expand export values and diversify markets.
