Vietnam's total export volume of vegetables and fruits reached approximately US$459 million in the first half of January this year, marking a year-on-year increase of 89% and a month-on-month increase of 12%. The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association predicts that the total export of fruits and vegetables will reach US$6.5 billion for the year. The improved quality of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables has allowed them to meet the standards required for entry into large markets such as China and the European Union. By 2024, Vietnamese coconuts, frozen fruits, watermelons, and potentially frozen durians are expected to be exported to China through regular trade channels.
