Vietnam's Bac Giang Province has successfully harvested over 199,500 tons of lychees, despite export and consumption challenges due to the epidemic. The fruit's price increased by 12% compared to 2021, generating revenue of over VND 6,785 billion. Domestic consumption was high at 123,500 tons, and 38.1% of the produce was exported to several countries. In contrast, the dragon fruit industry faces difficulties due to reliance on border trade, which is subject to fluctuations in China's epidemic policies. This has resulted in a sharp decrease in purchase prices. The Vietnamese government has emphasized the need for product traceability and safety to maintain the dragon fruit export industry.
